Programs for adopted children

Choral solfeggi

This is a preparation for a choral class based on the original method of Russian composer G. Struve, wildly known in Russia and abroad. The program based on musical exercises in entertaining manner. Such studies promote active development of musical hearing, rhythm, harmonic sense, coordination and creative qualities in a child.
Music games develop student’s imagination and musicality.

Russian Folk Ensemble

This class is designed to teach students basic of Russian folk chore singing. Part of the lesson is dedicated to learning folk dances. During performances singing and dancing is combined in a unique show depicting Russian folk rites and traditions

Painting

gzhelkhokhlomaThe main task is to develop the natural sense of color in children’s painting according to traditional Russian decorative painting on wood, tableware, dolls. Ornamental Russian painting (Khokhloma, Gzhel) works as a most important element of understanding color and its composition.

Drawing

vologda laceUsing the linear structure of Russian Vologda lace making in order to reveal the beauty of ornamental drawing in its rhythm, motive, design. Orenburg knitwear as an example of graphic style is very helpful instrument to improve the accuracy in children’s drawing.

Sculpture

wooden dollsdymkovo dollsBeginning from simple forms, learning the qualities of Dymkovo dolls – completion, architectonic, exquisite details we move to more complicated Russian Bogorodskoe wood carving. Ornaments and animals in Russian stone carving may also serve as a significant part for studying traditional Russian sculpture.
